How can I become a Member of SPF?
Know on this page all the benefits and conditions of association with the Portuguese Physiological Society (SPF), between free access and discounts on training, congresses and other events in the area of Physiology, access to Awards and Scholarships, newsletter, updated information on advances in the area of Physiology, networking among other benefits.
We offer three membership plans, STUDENT, FULL or COLLECTIVE. To join as a member of the Portuguese Physiological Society, simply select Subscribe below in the desired plan to fill out the respective membership form.

Benefits of Associates
Student Associate Member
The annual subscription of €20 includes:
- preferential access for advanced training organized by SPF including:
- FREE access to training initiatives (seminars; short courses, others) up to 10 ECTS credits / year;
- 50% discount on subsequent initiatives once the 10 ECTS has been exceeded;
- FREE registration in Congress / Symposium / Days, even if international, as long as the SPF is the main organizer
(there may be a limit on membership registrations; does not include social activities if planned)
- special access conditions in training initiatives organized by SPF partners (variable discount);
- "member - student" access to initiatives co-organized by other similar societies;
- access to Awards and mobility grants shared by counterpart companies, national and foreign, members of FEPS (European Federation of Physiology Societies);
- to know the latest advances in the area of physiology, through FREE access to the Newsletter of SPF, FEPS and other companies with which SPF establishes this information-sharing partnerships
- networking with researchers, academics, professionals and companies who have as common interest the area of physiology.
Full Associate Member
The annual subscription of €40 includes:
- preferential access for advanced training organized by SPF including:
- FREE access to training initiatives (seminars; short courses, others) up to 5 ECTS credits / year;
- 50% discount on subsequent initiatives once the 5 ECTS has been exceeded;
- special access conditions in training initiatives organized by SPF partners (variable discount);
- "member" access to initiatives co-organised by other similar companies;
- to know the latest advances in the area of physiology, through FREE access to the Newsletter of SPF, FEPS, and other companies with which SPF establishes this information-sharing partnership;
- networking with researchers, academics, professionals and companies who have as common interest the area of physiology.
Collective Member
The annual subscription for Corporate Membership is 250€ and has a minimum duration of two years. This includes:
- offer of 1 registration as an individual member to one of the members of the company;
- support to SPF inserble in scientific method;
- presence of the company logo on the SPF website in the footer of "Support / Patronage ";
- preferential auscultation regarding the topics to be list in the training activities organized by SPF;
- preferential choice as partners in the organization of events and training activities in the areas of action of the company/organization;
- special conditions of participation in the events organized by SPF * such as:
- refresher courses; webinars (discount from 50 to 100% for a defined number of registrations);
- national and international congresses (discount of 30 to 60 % for a defined number of registrations; preferential cost conditions for physical exposure area);
* applicable only to initiatives where SPF is the main organizer.
- possibility of support of SPF to the events organized by the company, associating the company's logo to the event and benefiting from disclosure by spfis members (subject to application and approval by the Board of SPF);
- to know the latest advances in the area of physiology, through FREE access to the Newsletter of SPF, FEPS and other companies with which SPF establishes this information-sharing partnership;
- networking with researchers, academics, professionals and companies who have as common interest the area of physiology.
