56º Anual Congress of Sociedade Brasileira de Fisiologia - 2021
The LVI Annual Congress of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis), one of the largest and most traditional meetings of physiologists in Latin America, will take place from October 12 to 17, 2021, online.
In this issue, we will celebrate multicentric physiology and the democratization of its knowledge. On October 12th, there will be the VIII Scientific Meeting of the Multicentric Graduate Program in Physiological Sciences (PPGMCF) of SBFis, a traditional activity that will feature conferences, symposiums, as well as presentation of abstracts by PMPGCF students. Starting this year, the best Master’s Dissertation or Doctoral Thesis will receive the “José Antunes Rodrigues Award”, a physiologist who played an important role in the creation of the PPGMCF. From October 13 to 15, 2021, the SBFis Congress will have the participation of national and international speakers in various areas of physiology. These will be intense days of presentations and scientific discussions in an innovative environment. The Scientific Committee of the Congress, composed of the past presidents and the future president of the SBFis, as well as the current Coordinator of the PPGMCF, is committed to organizing a robust scientific program that represents the best of physiology. This year, SBFIS wants to honor the young physiologist and strengthen gender balance in all activities. The program will cover the different areas: General Physiology, Comparative Physiology, Physiology of Organs and Systems, Exercise Physiology and Physiology Teaching.
